Working on new designs…

Going back to the roots of the late 1950’s “D” Fin Longboard -and- the radical concept 70’s Tombstone Fish.

Both of these boards represent a significant transitional period in Southern California.

The “D” fin is a melange of a 1950’s paradigm and my signature clean straight lines, less rocker and built to glide.

The70’s Fish is one part nostalgia, one part hydrodynamica and two partsart.

Shake, stir and garnish with your favorite tropical wax.

There is nothing quite like viewing the beautiful wet curves of the female form lying on a surfboard…

Thisboard was inspired by those gourgeous curves. The thought of how shemight ride is nearly as intoxicating as the experience itself…

The tail is sculpted last… Kinda hard to conceptualize this boardwithout the radical tail design (though I am fully in the moment here).

Somewhere Near Tapachula

Several years ago I had the unbelievable opportunity to create Fernandina’s first Free Surf Clinic.

The idea was pretty simple, to introduce surfing to children and hopefully change a life or two…

*Somewhere Near Tapachula* follows the stories of 54 children from lives of poverty, trauma and abuse, and their journey to Mission Mexico.

Check out the premier and pick up a copy of the dvd at The Surf Station May 21st!

100% of the proceeds are donated to the Mission Mexico Children’s Refuge.

The development of Lotus Earth is coming right along!

I’m very excited to add a new board to the future line.

Introducing the Modest Modelo…

The shape is Surfboards Hawaii inspired 10′ 3″ 50/50 rail traditional log.

The fin is classic Velzy from my friend Chuck Ames.

The color is pigment tinted yellow with black resin pinlines and a hand-painted Bing style “Lotus” on the Hull.

Within the “O” in Lotus is an Ando sketch in black resin. The logo is a one-of-a-kind Lotus Earth/Hobie morph.

Times like these…

Every now and then countless hours of energy, meditation and thought all culminate with one glorious moment… Today was one of those very special days.

Finishing the final details on the Surfboards Hawaii log. I made two! A scaled down version of the original for my pal Joe at 9’6″ and a 10′ 3″ carbon copy for me

Spent today in the glassing studio with former East Coast Champion and King of the Peak, Eric Hatton.

We’re working on a new competition weight fish dubbed the *Retro Sexual*.
